Back to normal life!

150647I came back home yesterday after a fun but disappointing Olympic games. Of course, we all thrive for the best of our abilities to be showcased at the most viewed event of our careers… Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to show what I can do on that day… Despite my frustrations and disappointment, I have a hard time being depressed about the games! Isn’t it already an accomplishment to reach the Games and aren’t they just an other world cup? I tend to perceive it that way… maybe I’d be signing a different tune if I had stood on the podium but none the less it makes me feel better about the hole thing…

Home at last, exhausted, a little bit feverish, but happy to be back after a long long month of travelling and building up for that event. Now, life goes on… less excitement in the air of course. We leave for Europe on Monday, 2 more World cups, thank god! I feel like I need to redeem myself! Will it matter? For me it will! Less people will be watching, caring but hey, I love my sport and that’s why I keep going. There will always be ups and downs in everything, the better ones of us are the ones that take less time to get back up from “downs”. I want to think I’m one of those people, I hope to be anyway…

brianna-cam-017-petitThanks again for all your encouraging words and thanks for all the support I had in my hometown of Aylmer!!! You guys were great and creative!
